Performing Arts Fund
Lava created an identity for the Performing Arts Fund Netherlands based around the idea that a fund should invest its money as much as possible in the arts, not in promotion for its own sake. The identity is stripped down to essentials, almost austere. All items are printed in just one color, black. When color is used, it is only to highlight the projects and artists that the fund supports, thereby literaly putting the spotlight on what's important: the Netherlands as a vibrant ecology for the performing arts.
The type is simple, almost austere. The logo is shaped like the steps up to a stage. This visual metaphore highlights both the literal sense of performing, as well as the funds role in stimulating the performing arts to new and higher levels. The idea of the steps is repeated on different levels in different products. Lava also developed annual reports, brochures, and the website.
