Although the outdoor and adventure industry is booming, much of its communication is based on traditional concepts like hiking, climbing, endurance and craftmanship. Edge of Europe asked Lava for a brand concept that looks beyond this dogmatic view.
Noticing people's experience of outdoor is very different, we decided the give the user a central role in the brand mentality. Secondly the creative strategy focused on the European heritage where the company comes from, and the diversity it offers.
From that perspective we decided to create a simple, recognizable logo that works on clothing labels and products, and yet offers diversity and richness as well. A fashion brand logo should have strong characteristics, and at the same time be a playground for filmmakers, designers and fashion designers. As Edge of Europe says; adventure is around the corner.
