Commit is a network of scientists, knowledge institutes, businesspeople and the Dutch government who try to solve social problems with IT technology. User friendly technologies for healthcare for example.
Lava started off with a strategic advice how to communicate these abstract concepts to the different stakeholders.
The identity is based on the origins of typography and computer language; logic and syntax. We created a custom fixed-width typeface to be used for all communication.
In every message we try to emphasize the instructional and poetic power of language and typography by referring to concrete poetry as well as programming language. This way the communication in itself becomes the identity.
The simplicity of the identity is in its elements, which consist of a typeface, and simple colored paper.This way all members of the community are able to implement and adopt its elements.
